Looking for a creative hen party activity that’s as unique and special as the bride to be? Look no further! Silver Works invites you and your besties to step into their welcoming Dublin studio and embark on a creative journey to forge your very own sterling silver ring. This isn’t just a craft workshop; it’s an immersive experience where you’ll learn traditional silversmithing techniques under the guidance of expert instructors.
During the Forge your own silver ring workshop your hen party learn how to make a silver ring from scratch, learning the basics of goldsmithing and at the end of the 2 hour workshop.Everyone will take away a stunning silver ring made by themselves, a great memento of their trip and a wonderful story to relay when they get back home.
Outline of this workshop:
Participants will learn the basics of goldsmithing, this includes:
- Piercing (using a hand saw) to cut the strip of silver
- Forming the ring using pliers
- Observing it being soldered whilst the process is explained by
the expert teacher - Filing the ring using different size hand files
- Adding texture to the ring using a planishing hammer- choice of 3 finishes
- Watching it being polished on a polishing motor to their
chosen finish – matt or shiny!Please note: Maximum 10 people per private group in one workshop so your will be in different groups.

Sterling Silver Materials: The raw sterling silver needed to forge one ring per participant.

Ring Sizing: Assistance with determining the correct ring size for each participant.
Shaping and Texturing Techniques: Learning and applying various techniques to shape and add unique textures to the silver.
Finishing and Polishing: Guidance on how to clean and polish the rings to a beautiful shine.
A Unique, Handmade Sterling Silver Ring: Each participant will leave with a ring they have personally forged.
